If dependence is the goal, weakness is the advantage.  I didn’t come up with that phrase. One of my pastors did. I have found myself using it often in the last few weeks though.  It’s been a great reminder during the highs and lows of the last month. If you read my most recent post, you heard about the great adventure God gave me in Albania.  My post focused on my team because great fellowship and teamwork are some of…

Experiencing great fellowship in the context of working towards an eternal purpose is incredible. There is nothing quite like it. I’ve gone on a few kinds of adventures and nothing else tops it.  God invited me to enjoy this wonderful source of satisfaction on another trip to Albania. They did not see much (if any) fault…

Hey Everybody, I did an interview for a friend of mine named Barb Raveling. The interview is about struggling to find my identity in God instead of finding it in my writing. You can find the interview here at Barb’s blog. She’s a cool writer by the way. If you’ve got the time, I encourage you to checkout her blog and dig into her other material. I really enjoyed one of her books called the Renewing of the Mind Project…

I don’t like being weak. While, it’s a vital part of my relationship with God, it’s not something which excites me. In recent months, I’ve had a fair amount of dealings with my distaste for personal weakness. Back in November, I experienced a mild concussion. Some of the symptoms of this concussion have not completely faded. Long story short, I’ve had a mild to moderate headache for about three months now. Sadly, this symptom and a couple others, don’t respond…
